Spring Birding Experience

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced birder, these events are perfect for all ages and skill levels.

We have an afternoon of birding fun planned as Indian Prairie Public Library, Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum, DuPage Birding Club and Darien Garden Club collaborate to celebrate Spring Bird Migration in early May.

Learn how to spy local birds in nature with hands-on fun using binoculars to spot birds in the library’s garden. There will be kid-friendly activities and more birding information and unique exhibits for all ages to enjoy.

Meet us outdoors in Keshav's Garden at the library. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be in Meeting Room 2.

This is a walk-up event; registration is NOT required. If you register on Eventbrite, you'll receive reminder emails so that you won't forget to bring your birding questions and get ready to LEARN.

Running concurrently with our exhibits and activities there will be educational presentations in Keshav Sanghani 's Meeting Room.

We will welcome expert birder Denis Kania from the DuPage Birding Club for a presentation on attracting hummingbirds to your yard. Karly Tumminello, Master Naturalist and Director of the Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum, will follow, sharing her knowledge of birds you might notice in your backyard.

They will be in a hybrid format so if you can't attend in person you can watch from home. The Zoom link will come from IPPL, so be sure to register.
