The Illinois Audubon Society has received a grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation in support of native habitat restoration at the 17-acre 770 Westleigh Preserve owned by Lake Forest Open Lands, in Lake County.

The Emerald Awards, which Illinois Green Alliance launched in 2008 to provide recognition to organizations, people, buildings and technologies with outstanding green achievements, this year added a 2021 Path to Zero Trailblazers category. Honorees include architect Tom Bassett-Dilley and the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation.
