Explore Will County’s Preserves with the Be a Trailblazer Challenge

Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages can embrace the beauty of spring with the next installment of the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Be a Trailblazer digital scavenger hunt, running from April 10 to May 24. This free, interactive challenge encourages participants to explore the Will County preserves at their own pace, completing nature-inspired missions along the way.

The winter session wraps up on March 1, but with spring’s arrival, new challenges will highlight seasonal changes, from spotting wildlife to capturing photos of emerging wildflowers. Using the Goosechase app, participants can check in at designated locations and submit photos to complete various tasks.

The Be a Trailblazer experience, sponsored by The Nature Foundation of Will County, continues throughout the year with additional summer and fall challenges. More than $10,000 in prizes—including kayaks, sleds, fishing equipment, hiking poles, Fitbits and more—will be awarded throughout the year.

To join, download the Goosechase app and search for Be a Trailblazer or enter code PQNL75.
