Known
to her clients as “The Tummy Whisperer”, Reneé Barasch has made helping people
to take control of their digestive system and its proper functioning the focus
of her practice. She struggled for years with her own digestive problems,
finding short-term relief with various treatments, but never actually got past
her symptoms, before she discovered enzyme replacement therapy and the Loomis Institute of Enzyme Nutrition, in Madison, Wisconsin. After experiencing her
own health transformation, she knew she had to share this protocol and help
others to optimize their own health. Reneé became a Certified Digestive Health
Specialist and opened Digestive Health Solutions in 2005. She offers telehealth
services and in-office appointments.

“Too
many people aren’t finding the solutions to their health issues and continuing
to suffer, and that’s why I am so passionate about this work. They’ve tried
various approaches and are confused with conflicting information they find
about nutrition and digestive health,” Reneé says. Taking an individualized,
science-based approach, she uses diagnostic tools, testing and exams to help
clients with a wide variety of health issues, from typical digestive conditions
to almost seemingly unrelated issues like allergies, fatigue, rashes and acne.
By educating her clients in the right food choices and nutritional support for
their body and condition, Reneé helps to rebalance their digestive tract and get
them feeling better.
“Many
of my clients have tried various approaches to fix their digestion without
success and came to me thinking that this is just the way it is. But we are not
meant to live with those symptoms,” Reneé explains. “In the 17 years I have
been practicing, I’ve learned that each body is biochemically unique. The diet
and supplementation that works for one person may not work for another. Foods
that one person can eat might not be tolerated by another, and lead to
digestive issues, discomfort and even serious health conditions like Crohn’s
disease, colitis and other autoimmune disorders.”
“Getting
you feeling better and empowering you to make choices that will better your
well-being is my top priority,”
she says.
