First Peek: Latest “Sleeping with the Artist” Installation at Kimpton’s Palomar Chicago Hotel

In what seems to be de rigueur, hotels are incorporating art galleries on their properties. The move makes sense and while not exactly new at this point, hosting wine receptions, gallery tours and unveiling parties to the public isn’t exactly common either.
That’s exactly what Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar Chicago will be doing come Wednesday, May 7. The hotel invites the public to a free wine reception and will offer gallery tours in honor of the unveiling of a newly painted mural in the hotel’s Artist Suite by local up-and-coming street artist, FRESH.
In partnership with the Chicago art curators of Revolving Collections Gallery (whose mission is to make local artwork accessible), Palomar Chicago will be celebrating the latest “Sleeping with the Artist” installation and offer guided tours of three gallery floors at the hotel.
The event is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy complimentary wine and light bites from the hotel’s popular restaurant, Sable Kitchen & Bar, while enjoying an evening of art.
